All of the product images that you see on ASOS are shot in-house in one of our 12 studios. Each studio shoots 60 products per day and has 4-6 minutes to shoot and catwalk each product, so it’s important that each day runs seamlessly.

The Retouching department retouch a wide variety of fashion and stills imagery for all ASOS product pages. The retouching team work to represent the product in a true to life form ensuring what customers pull out of the box is the same as what they saw on site.

The Role

What you'll be doing...

• Reporting directly into the Senior Retoucher you will be responsible for day-to-day processing of images
• Working alongside Retouchers to ensure highest possible quality
• Responsible for meeting daily KPI
• Regularly assess current processes to maintain quality and efficiency

• Forming strong relationships with all departments 

• Support Senior Retouchers to deliver department competitor reviews
• Identify areas for product reviews. Review and research ideas from competition and present findings to suggest new approaches 

• Uphold and improve when necessary the quality of onsite content
• Producing high quality imagery with a consistent approach across all categories 

• To develop, progress and achieve personal objectives 

• Ensuring you meet your target KPI

We'd love to meet someone with...

• Previous experience working within a production department
• Understanding and experience of Studio photography advantageous 

• Previous fashion e-commerce experience desirable 

• Previous experience working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop
• Understanding of colour profiles and colour matching
• Knowledge of Javascript, Applescript and VBA advantageous 

• Experienced in creating actions for Adobe Photoshop desirable
• Knowledge of E- commerce retouching and Photoshop
• Exceptional at multitasking and outstanding organisational skills; able to use initiative and to work in pressurised environment.
• Communication is key to the role and an ability to build strong relationships throughout the department
• PC literate with working knowledge of, Outlook, Excel and digital asset management software
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Strong numeracy skills
• The ability to work quickly and efficiently with a strong eye for detail
• The ability to work in a fast paced environment and adapt to rapid change
• Be a strong team player who is eager to learn and can grasp new information quickly 

• Understanding of current trends and how these relate to the ASOS customer 

• Keen interest in fashion along with relevant experience in the industry
