Stairway Learning are looking for a small selection of biology and chemistry enthusiasts who are interested in helping us write course content for online GCSE and A-level biology and GCSE chemistry courses.
Who are Stairway as a company?
At Stairway, we believe that technology has a huge part to play in inspiring the next generation of STEM learners. We also believe that it is an equalising force in providing education for students of different backgrounds.
Our goal is to build the most effective and enjoyable online learning experience for STEM, and introduce new ways through which students can interact with STEM concepts. As such, we are looking to partner with people who are interested in co-creating a highly effective learning experience that helps students learn how to think like scientists.
What is the job and why is it important?
We want to be able to offer GCSE and A-level biology content as well as GCSE chemistry content to students preparing for their exams in the spring.
Your task as content editor will be to create lessons via our online course creation platform for different biology and/or chemistry concepts. You will introduce the concepts and write practice questions that test students' understanding.
You will be working as part of a small group of other biology and/or chemistry content editors, so you can seek peer support throughout the project.
This role may promise more rounds of work in the future for freelance editors that do a good job.
The ideal candidate:
Flexibility: The work can be done remotely, however, we do appreciate if you would be able to make it to London on occasion, for example for a few hours of on-boarding.
Pay: £30 per finished lesson (we estimate this will equate to roughly £15/hour)
