About the Role
As a Product Photographer, you will produce fresh and delightful photography to achieve the Hungryroot brand style. You will work with the Brand Marketing, Culinary, and Operations teams to photograph new launching groceries. Reporting to the Senior Photo and Video Manager, you will play an integral role in supporting Hungryroot's growth by creating high-quality assets for our website, social media, and other marketing channels.
Please note that this is a hybrid position with 3 days per week in-office at our NYC headquarters.
Responsibilities
Create brand-aligned product and lifestyle images, most often without assistance of a formal food stylist
Collaborate with Sr Photo Manager and Producer on creative concepts for eCommerce shoots
Collaborate with in-house Photographer and Producer on monthly marketing shoots to maximize content output: ie, styling/lighting assistance, stop motion capture, recipe shoot station, etc
Work with cross-functional stakeholders to source all products needed and ensure all deadlines are met
Communicate shot lists, scheduling, and asset delivery to Photo and Creative teams.
Maintain editing, processing, retouching, color correcting, naming, and archiving all files in an accessible and organized manner
Track and share visual trends and tools for product lighting, styling, and post-production
Assist creative photo team with post-production and GIF builds on occasion
Share responsibility for care, upkeep, record, and maintenance of studio workspace and equipment
Requirements
3+ years experience as a product photographer, within the food and/or grocery industry strongly preferred
Strong command of Adobe Creative Suite (Lightroom, Bridge, Photoshop) and Capture One, with proven retouching capabilities
Experience with project management & coordination, and related tools or software (specifically Airtable, ClickUp, G-Suite, and Dropbox)
Extremely organized and detail-oriented with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Keen understanding of file management
Strong communication skills
Extensive knowledge of studio still life / food & product lighting
Stop motion and video experience a plus
Plated food and lifestyle photography skills a plus
