ABOUT THE ROLE AND OUR TEAM:
The detail-oriented and collaborative Senior Content Strategist will assist with special projects as well as providing support for the broader Content Strategy team. You will bring a strong understanding of the digital editorial landscape, an SEO perspective anchored to monitoring strategy success over time, and a solutions-oriented mindset to ensure each article we publish is in service of our team’s goals and our users. You enjoy thinking about “the why” behind decisions, and can express your point of view when needed. You work quickly, prioritize creative problem-solving and understand how editorial strategy impacts TKWW’s business at large. You will work closely alongside editors, content strategists, data analysts and marketers and report into the Director of Content Strategy.
This is a temporary, part time (up to 29 hours/week) role slated to go through the end of the year.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for assisting in the day-to-day content strategy across multiple content verticals for our US wedding brands, including but not limited to Fashion, Travel, Planning and Gifting
Create content strategy outlines (including conducting keyword research and SERP analysis) for digital editorial assignments. Additionally, you will help identify assignment opportunities in order to drive traffic and achieve other team goals
Execute content and site section audits in close partnership with our SEO team to determine a go-forward strategy and tactics that will achieve goals
Design and provide actionable reporting to teammates and stakeholders; analyze traffic, keywords rankings and conversion data to summarize findings, share key takeaways and enable Editorial leaders to make strategic decisions
Collaborate with editors, SEO analysts, other content strategists and team members regularly on content opportunities and ideas
SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES HAVE:
5-7 years of experience working in a content marketing, SEO or audience development role
Expert understanding of user intent and the latest SEO best practices; experience using
Experience using analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Parsley to pull reports and leverage data to make decisions as well as SEO tools such as SEMrush, Google Search Console, AdWords
Experience working on an affiliate content strategy and/or content strategies designed at directly supporting revenue
Firm grasp of digital editorial best practices and workflows, including basic HTML, CMS experience, digital writing, editorial integrity/ethics and more
Ability to balance multiple projects and initiatives at once; flexible and agile mindset
Knowledgeable about digital content business and monetization models; experience leveraging digital editorial content to achieve business goals
Extreme attention to detail, commitment to accuracy as well as strong written and verbal communication;
Comfortable working independently and able to make confident decisions, while able to collaborate with team members and be open to other perspectives
