• Following a brief set by the Creative director, you will be responsible for designing and developing original knitwear design ideas for the Goat collection. Designs should demonstrate a clear understanding of knitwear trends, while remaining true to the Goat aesthetic. 
• You will present design ideas to the Creative Director and design team, and produce detailed design sheets for sampling.
• This is a freelance position, you will not be required to work in the studio, except to attend meetings for initial briefing and for presentation of designs. 

SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

• We are looking for someone with a passion for knitwear. You must have a creative flair, good colour sense with extensive knowledge of yarns and stitches.
• The ability to translate initial ideas & concepts into commercial designs is essential. With a solid understanding of knitwear construction, manufacturing methods and production constraints.
• Ability to work to a strict time frame is critical.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

• The ideal candidate must have an appropriate degree supported by a strong portfolio and commercial knitwear design experience.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
• You must demonstrate a good understanding of the Goat brand, with the ability to present innovative ideas, both orally and visually, that still adhere to the brand aesthetic.
