As a Freelance Sports Writer for SPORTbible, you will use your editorial talent, awareness of current news, and passion for trending viral content to produce high-quality and thought-provoking articles.

What the opportunity looks like

  • Writing football articles and occasional news articles for other sports
  • Sourcing content from a variety of different platforms, including Twitter, Reddit and TikTok
  • Crafting headlines and finding editorial angles to stories in keeping with SPORT’s brand values

Skills and experience we'd like you to have

  • Journalism background with some experience of writing football news
  • Ability to write copy quickly and accurately
  • Experience using website content management systems
  • Some knowledge of SEO and social best practice
  • Able to work under pressure

Must-haves

  • A journalism background and ideally some experience within the sports industry
