We are seeking expression of interest for a highly skilled, experienced and passionate Marketing & Community Manager to work for an established musician with over 25 years experience.
Job Description
You are a forward-thinking person able to develop and implement a strategy that will raise the profile of the artist and his various projects. You are able to move seamlessly between projects, identifying where energy and budgets can most usefully be spent to increase ticket sales, reach new audiences, increase merchandise sales, and increase traffic to streaming sites, youtube and social media channels. You will be able to do this whilst maintaining the high reputation and respect the artist has worked hard to develop.
You will be passionate about working with and building relationships with the various stakeholders and communities the artist is currently connected with and might potentially work with.
As well as being a strategist, you will also be excited to develop assets for the business, whether updating the website, producing e-fliers or posters or electronic press kits. You will have also a specific task to develop new audiences, mainly young people and a more diverse audience. For this, you will be able to tap into the various existing artist's networks and partnerships as well as identifying and developing new ones.
Under the supervision of the business manager you will manage the marketing budget ensuring the best value for money.
You will have the empathy and respect needed to understand the cultural values that inform the artist's work, and be able to produce assets and communication briefings that embrace these values.
You will be able to work closely with all team members as well as having a proactive attitude, whilst helping us maintain a culture of openness, thoughtfulness, consideration and calm. A sense of humour and the ability to bring pragmatism to complex situations would be welcome.
