Cheezburger is part of the Literally Media family, which also includes other iconic sites, like Know Your Meme, Ebaum’s World, and Cracked.

We’re looking to welcome a Freelance writer-editor who is in-the-know about everything that’s happening online – what’s trending on TikTok, what people are fighting about on Twitter, and which subreddits are currently getting a lot of attention. The writer will be starting off producing 1-3 pieces a week, with the possibility of increasing this amount in the future. The right candidate has an above average knowledge of SEO best practices. They will be experimenting and tracking the data on content specifically curated with their SEO insights. They will also (like all our writers) be savvy with all social media outlets (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Twitter, Reddit, etc.) And have their pulse on anything going viral/trending online. They will also be versed in or can learn quickly, the voice of all the different Cheezburger brands.

You’ll have the support of highly experienced editors with a firm grasp on online publishing. You can work from home, but we’d also love to have you working from our lovely Brooklyn office.

Requirements:

• Must have strong knowledge of SEO best practices
• Must have experience writing for online publications
• Strong writing skills
• Strong communication skills
• Would be rad if you were based in NYC, but it’s not a deal breaker if not
