Description

This is a part-time contract position for 15 hours/week with opportunity to grow into a full-time position based on performance and business needs.

Job Overview:

We're seeking a talented and motivated Freelance Graphic Designer to support our creative team with small to medium design tasks. As a freelance designer, you'll work closely with our in-house team to assist in the development and execution of various design projects for our clients. You'll gain experience working with a creative team and contribute to impactful visual projects in a fast-paced environment. This role is perfect for recent graduates or individuals with some professional experience looking to flex and hone their skills in digital design, print production, and branding. 

Under the guidance of our Creative Director, you'll collaborate closely with our team of art directors, copywriters, web designers, and project managers to produce deliverables that serve our clients’ goals. Creative deliverables you could assist with include, but aren't limited to: 

  • Visual Brand Identity
    • Gather brand inspiration for mood boards
    • Formatting and exporting logos and other graphics for print and web (Illustrator)
    • Researching fonts to develop type systems
    • Color palette exploration and determining color codes across print and web
  • Brand Guidelines
    • File set up and export (InDesign)
    • Layout design
  • Creative Campaigns (Visual Execution)
    • Concept mockups (Photoshop)
    • Final creative exports 
  • Digital Graphics/Assets
    • Icons
    • Social Media
    • Paid Ads
    • Slide deck/PowerPoint templates
    • Email signatures
  • Print Deliverables
    • Stationery packages (business cards, letterheads, etc)
    • Brochures, flyers, reports
    • RFP (Request For Proposal) document
    • Tradeshow materials
    • OOH

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the creative team to develop visual assets for various projects (see list above).
  • Work within any established brand guidelines to ensure consistency across all design deliverables.
  • Prepare and refine design files for final delivery, ensuring high-quality output.
  • Handle multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of work.

Hard Skills:

  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
  • Basic knowledge of design principles, including color theory, typography, and layout.
  • Familiarity with design tools like Figma and project management software.
  • Ability to follow brand guidelines and apply them across various media.
  • Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and consistency in design work.
  • Basic understanding of digital and print production processes.

Soft Skills:

  • Eagerness to learn and grow in a creative environment.
  • Ability to take direction and apply feedback constructively.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate design ideas clearly.
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
