We are currently looking for a videographer to capture and create the final outcome of a project that we are running for young people in collaboration with Leicestershire Music Hub.

Over four weeks, young people in three schools across Leicestershire have been working with NYJO musicians to learn more about improvisation and collective composition. To celebrate the project, we would like to bring the young people together digitally to create a final video that captures the young people from the 3 schools all performing the same song and combines them, so that they feel they are listening to themselves playing in one huge ensemble!

As a result, we are looking for someone who would be excited by the opportunity to create this for us. You would develop a 5-10 minute video which includes both this mass digital performance as well as short interview snippets with some of the young people who have been taking part and the NYJO musicians who have led the project.

You will need to be available for filming at the following dates, times, and locations to capture the young people performing in each school:

Countesthorpe School, LE8 5PR , 10:45 - 11:40, Wednesday 18th March

Brockington School, LE19 4AQ, 14:00 - 15:30, Wednesday 18th March

Long Field Academy, LE13 0BN, 13:20 - 15:10, Friday 20th March

You will be responsible for your own travel to and from these locations, and you will need to bring your own filming equipment, ensuring high-quality visuals and sound.

Please note that for this role, you will need to feel comfortable mixing and combining audio together from the three schools to create one final audio that sounds like they are all playing together.

The first video draft should be sent by the end of March.

This is a freelance role; resulting in 4- 5 hours of work.

The total fee for this role is £500 - NYJO is a registered charity supporting young people, and we would encourage any emerging videographers/recent graduates who are looking to build their portfolios to consider applying.
