Description

Late payments or none at all? It’s the bane of every freelancer’s life. Time spent chasing invoices whilst keeping clients happy, struggling to pay bills due to cashflow issues and feeling a growing sense of resentment having worked so hard on a project. All is not lost. There are people out there supporting freelancers and fighting back. Liz Barclay, the Small Business Commissioner and a well-known broadcaster, is one of them.

Join us on Tuesday 3rd May at 6pm in conversation with Liz to discuss freelance finances, techniques on how to avoid late payments and be paid fairly as a creative freelancer and how to access support when you need it most.

In this 20-minute Zoom webinar, Liz will talk about:

• Agreeing on fair payment terms before you start working
• Avoiding the 60/90/120 days due period
• Negotiating for the up-front payment
• Managing cashflow
• Obtaining financial certainty as a freelancer

If you have a specific question to ask, sign up and DM in the chat. The session will be streamed on Zoom.

About the speaker:
Liz Barclay was appointed the role of Small Business Commissioner in July 2021 to spearhead the national effort to crackdown on poor payment practices which cause thousands of small businesses to close every year.
