Sara left her NHS day job to take a wild leap into the unknown to turn her internet passion into a business. She started an Instagram page under the name @meandorla to document her maternity leave while pregnant with her daughter, Orla. Now, 5 years on, she travels the world (virtually for the time being) for speaking work, runs a six-figure business and helps other creatives to make it happen for them, too.
In this chat, Sara and I will reflect on some of the core principles that make a successful freelance business. We'll explore how to take time out and reassess and why it's so important to do that. We'll cover things like how to define (or redefine) your freelance business, as well as some practical tips for giving your marketing and admin a mini-makeover.
