Concepts of Nature - Final Major Project Portfolio

For my third-year university project, I led a self-directed project exploring editorial, Avant-Garde makeup through the theme of nature. As both creative director and hair and makeup artist, I was responsible for conceptualising and executing the overall vision, managing all aspects of makeup and styling for the shoot. I oversaw the entire production process, from concept development to team coordination. In my role as Hair & Makeup Artist, I combined both creative and technical skills to bring avant-garde looks to life, experimenting with unique and artistic designs that aligned with the theme. This project enhanced my leadership, organisational, and collaborative skills, while further refining my makeup artistry and ability to think quickly and problem-solve on set.
Titled ‘Concepts of Nature,’ the portfolio delves into the beauty, diversity, and power of the natural world. Drawing inspiration from nature’s fascinating shapes, patterns, colours, and textures, the project features makeup designs that represent the harmonious coexistence of mankind and nature, illustrating how they sustain and nourish each other. Abstract patterns, distinctive textures, and vibrant colours were integrated into the makeup looks to vividly bring this concept to life.
