The Project is called Fashionaballet - a photo shoot concept combining fashion with ballet & the theme of the photos is Monochrome / Black & White. The shoot date is confirmed as FRIDAY 3RD DECEMBER 2021 from 10.00AM - 6PM.

This is a collaboration, however, it is quite high profile as the shoot concept is the privileged result of winning a competition courtesy of The Freelancer Club. So if you like the sound of this Fashionaballet combination shoot & would like some new images for your portfolio and are a ballet dancer, make up artist or hair stylist, please put your name forward.

With the monochrome theme in mind, within the Fashionaballet concept, we'll be taking advantage of the black & white theme, incorporating the idea of the 2 main swan characters from the ballet Swan Lake - Odette the white swan and Odile the black swan, both as individual & duo shots. As the shoot is combining fashion with ballet, the outfits are intended to be couture style with echoes of a balletic feel about them, e.g. volume, layers of material, particularly tulle, creating a feathery feel.

FEMALE BALLET DANCERS. Model-dancers will need to be ballet dancers who are proficient experts in en pointe ballet work, in both holding steady en pointe poses & also dynamic moves, leaps etc. Some of the poses will be a mix of balletic legs with the upper body holding a fashion-style pose & then vice versa. You will need to be either a UK dress size 6 or 8, as these are the sizes of the outfits for the shoot & you will need to bring your own pointe shoes to the shoot. MALE model ballet dancers are also welcome to apply as accompanying dancer models which could be fun for some male / female Fashionaballet duo shots - males, you will need to have black / white ballet tights to bring with you, plain black trousers / skinny black jeans & plain / pattern / check shirts in black or white & you ballet footwear / shoes - please confirm which or all of these items if you have them in your application.

MAKE UP ARTISTS need to be able to execute, clean, neat & precise make up as some of the lines will be strong & bold around the eyes. Additional makeup mood board will be provided to the selected MUA's once date has been confirmed.

HAIR STYLISTS need to be able to deliver neat up do's / buns & also be confident in using hair styling equipment that deliver curls / waves / crimps. Additional hair mood board will be provided to the selected HS's once date has been confirmed.

FASHION STYLIST - there are quite a lot of outfits already available for this shoot & you will be responsible for sorting the outfits in order for the ballet-dancer-models in line with the schedule / call sheet / outfits rosta. But also, if you think you have outfits / accessories in your Stylists collection that you feel might suit this shoot, then please feel free to put your ideas forward in your application.

This is designed to be an unusual but fun shoot & looking forward to seeing applications from those who are enthused by this Fashionaballet concept.
