We are an established Hair and Makeup Agency located in Ashley Cross, Poole with a growing friendly team of Hair Stylists and Makeup Artists who travel to luxury locations throughout Dorset, Hampshire, Somerset and Wiltshire.
We are searching for reliable Freelance Makeup Artists and Hair Stylists who can bring out the natural beauty of brides and their wedding parties on their special day.
If you have a keen eye for detail, confidence with different skin tones, hair types and textures and have a profound understanding of wedding hair and makeup trends then we want to hear from you!

Working with Barnet and Boatrace

You'll be working under the direction of Olga, Founder and Lead Makeup Artist and be responsible for making clients look and feel their best in preparation for their wedding day, prom or other special occasions.

The majority of our clients prefer a natural makeup look so if your go to style is heavily contoured makeup with over lined lips and scouse brows unfortunately your style may not be fit in with our team.

We're known for our calm natured and laid back approach (we listen more - and talk less!) so clients feel relaxed knowing that we're not going to be centre of attention on their wedding morning and will focussing our energy on their faces instead!

You'll be passionate about Wedding Hair and Makeup always maintaining a high standard of work as well as being keen to represent the brand and support our well established reputation.

Your Role

Create elegant and timeless Wedding and Special Occasion hair and makeup looks
Conduct consultations with brides and their wedding parties to understand their hair and makeup preferences
Be open to constructive criticism working with brides and the agency to address any concerns and find a quick resolution
Managing brides expectations and providing advice if additional products or services are needed to achieve their desired look
Stay updated on the most recent and upcoming bridal makeup and hair trends
Build strong professional relationships with other Hair Stylists and Makeup Artists working together to achieve cohesive bridal looks within a timely manner
Recognising when your colleagues may need extra support and stepping up to assist
Provide hair and makeup touch ups to ensure that clients makeup and hair stays put throughout their special day

Required Skills and Attributes

Own a varied selection of well presented premium branded products/brushes/styling tools etc
Hold a valid Public Liability Insurance at all times (proof required)
Have excellent diary management and organisation skills
Happy to work alone as well as in a team
Strive to be 100% reliable
Be an excellent listener and able to read situations well
Remain calm under pressure
Be available to work early mornings (especially at weekends)
Have access to your own vehicle and be confident driving to various venues across Dorset and Hampshire (some of our clients venues are out in the sticks!)
Be able to provide recent testimonials and proof of your work
Happy to do a trade test (when and if required)
