Description
This project is a horror‑drama short film about a working‑class Indonesian father pushed over the edge by political corruption and systemic neglect, told through an intensely visual, prosthetics‑driven execution sequence. The story follows him from a cramped, TV‑lit apartment, through the abduction of his daughter’s boyfriend, into a misty forest where he decapitates the boy using practical SFX and prosthetic work, then continues in a surreal, almost ritualistic walk through the city at dawn as he carries the severed head. The film ends in a fluorescent roadside restaurant, where he calmly places the head on a table and drinks coffee while political commentary plays on TV, linking the personal violence to a wider national context.
I want the videographer to capture this as a grounded, cinematic world: humid interiors, foggy jungle, wet blood, texture on skin and fabric, and the contrast between everyday spaces (apartment, street, warung) and the extreme horror of the act. The BTS should emphasise the transformation process—application of prosthetics, blood rigs, hair work, and on‑set performance—while also tracking the emotional arc: from private rage, to brutal violence, to eerie calm. The final behind‑the‑scenes piece should feel like a documentary window into both the craftsmanship of the makeup/prosthetics and the political horror story we’re telling, suitable for my graduation portfolio and future industry pitches.
