The Per Diem Videographer/Producer/Editor shoots, produces, and edits content for the Department of Marketing and Communications at the Mount Sinai Health System. This individual collaborates with multidisciplinary departments and coordinates with the Senior Director of Media, Senior Creative Director, Media Director and Vice President of Marketing and Communications to support their respective missions, ensuring a consistent message to the public about the institutions mission, vision and values in the global community.
Responsibilities
In collaboration with the Marketing, Communications and Media Relations departments including Digital & Social Media, responsible for producing, lighting, shooting and editing content that supports the mission of the Mount Sinai Health System.
Produces quality videos that represents Mount Sinai’s brand and voice.
Completes assignments in a timely manner and prepares content for final release
Oversees, develops and provides support of video studio production efforts for internal stakeholders of the Mount Sinai Health System.
Communicates and schedules video projects with stakeholders, and serve as a liaison between studio vendor and stakeholders.
Supervises additional editing by other individuals and or vendors.
Assists in the creation of scripts, storyboards, b-roll and other video production assets, in collaboration with content experts and stakeholders
Evaluates and improves video studio procedures and guidelines in collaboration with vendors and internal teams
Monitors and maintains video studio equipment and software
Performs other related duties
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred
5 years experience (greater is preferred), in editing in Adobe Premiere, Avid and Creative Cloud Suite
Proficient with project planning, lighting, shooting and post-production;
Working knowledge of Photoshop and After Effects
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and specific editing workflows
Self-motivated to complete tasks on time
Able to shoot with DSLR’s and Sony CCD camera preferred
Ability to effectively communicate information and ideas in written and verbal format, and build and maintain relationships
Team player, with the confidence to take the lead and guide other departments when necessary
