Living Museum | Book Design
Among the Doppia Firma collaborations, our book is intended to explore the work produced by the German designer Erik Spiekermann and the Treviso founded Tipoteca museum. The publication is called “Living Museum”, because our main focus is to emphasize the fact that Tipoteca is keeping traditional techniques alive in their everyday work, rather than displaying old technology. We wanted to showcase the collaborations that occurred between various designers and the Tipoteca workshop. In order to achieve our goal, we decided to first display part of Tipoteca’s archive. We then presented the work created over time by the expert hands of the people working at Tipoteca, and the designers that chose to use traditional printing.
