United by Music, Divided by Meaning
United by Music, Divided by Meaning is a documentary shot at Eurovision’s 70th anniversary in Vienna, made by Casaca Productions with Eurovisions. The contest runs under the slogan “United by Music,” but boycotts, protests and a real fight over values sit just beneath it. The film holds two worlds side by side: the lived celebration of fans and the city, and the contested claim underneath. Through fans, activists, artists and commentators, it asks one question. What does Eurovision unity mean when unity itself is disputed?
