THE ULTIMATE FREELANCER'S GUIDE TO LONDON FASHION WEEK

It’s almost here! London Fashion Week will soon be upon us and we have the ultimate freelancer's guide for you to make the most out of LFW. We’ve put together the best places to be; whether you're here to mingle with the big players, network with the pros or looking for inspiration to kick-start that new project. See our three categories below and find out where the best places are for you during the most exciting week in fashion!

Late Night Hot Spots

It's not all about the runway. The best places to network and build contacts are at the after-parties and the late night hot spots.

Pennethorne’s (Somerset House) - LFW may have moved a few doors down from its old home at Somerset House but that doesn't stop hoards of fashionistas from having a drink.

Sway Bar (Holborn) - during LFW, Great Queen St hosts many off-schedule shows and Sway is a great place to meet fashion folk waiting for the next show or winding down after a long day.

The Kings Head (Dalston) - a members club in Dalston full of crazy taxidermy and young fashion go-getters. Always buzzing around fashion week and often the host of after-parties.

Daytime Hangouts

When is London Fashion WeekGot a couple of hours to spare in between shows? These daytime hangouts will either offer a break from the LFW chaos or may even throw you into the path of an industry pro.

Attendant (Fitzrovia) - A petite, quirky coffee bar located in a restored Victorian public lav. What's not to love. Once you've had your coffee fix, you're a stone's throw from hours of high-street shopping.

Gordons Wine Bar (Embankment) - One of the oldest bars in London, Gordons is awash with Londoner's hustling to grab a heated table outside or enjoying a glass of wine in the cave-like surroundings down the steps. Best of all, it's a 5-minute walk from all the LFW action. Perfect to write your blog or take a breather.

London Fashion Week Festival (22nd - 25th Feb @ Store Studios) - Not strictly during LFW, but noteworthy none the less. LFWF is Fashion Week for the public. Browse, try, and purchase all the hottest trends fresh off the catwalk. Tickets can be bought from the official LFWF site
