Before we look into why so many freelancers accept unpaid work, let’s look at why it exists in the first place. Businesses by their very nature (and often by necessity) try to keep costs down to help turn a profit. The mentality, particularly in a recession, is not to find the best person for the job but to find the cheapest person for the job and when talented freelancers are willing to work for free it's a no-brainer for the employer.
It's hardly news to state that being an authority in your field leads to more work, better rates, and broader opportunities. Pre-social media, freelancers would earn influence through hard work, experience, reputation in their field, networking and positive PR. Today, all of that can be achieved with a smartphone and an internet connection.
London Fashion Week manages to incorporate all creative job roles into one fast-paced, exciting and artistic event. Fashion week regulars POP PR have had their designers showcase their captivating work for many seasons now, and this season brought just as much unrestricted creativity and explosive fashion as any other season. With independent designers relying on the help of their creative teams, fashion week brings together people with a range of different creative skills to produce inspiring and distinctive visual constructions.
CLEAR COMMUNICATION FROM THE START TO THE END OF THE PROJECT When freelancing on a specific role, communication is key to ensuring you meet project expectations and will further improve your chances of any future work with the employer. Firstly and probably most importantly, always make sure you are responsive to any potential employer inquiries. If you happen to miss an employer’s phone call, be sure to call them back within 15 minutes and do not wait until the next day to return their call.

Many freelance content creators have been using and earning from the YouTube Partnership Program, however, YouTube is firming up the rules and it could spell the end for many money-making channels. Effective immediately, a channel/creator must meet a new (higher) view and subscriber count in order to be able to earn advertising revenue from their videos.
